Nearly Perfect Book . . . Rare, Magical, & A Great Read,
This review is from: The Night Circus (Hardcover)
I try to read a good mix of classic and modern fiction, but often end up disappointed by modern fiction. I picked up The Night Circus mainly because of the summary description of two magicians battling it out in a circus and the look of the book cover . . . if that description is not enough to intrigue you, then you probably won't like this book. If it is, you'll love it.
For a first time author, what Erin Morgenstern accomplishes with her descriptions of The Circus of Dreams is nothing short of amazing. You will smell the the caramel apples, you will visit fascinating tents and sideshows, and you will long to visit after you close the last page. The descriptions and transportation of the reader to this place is worthy of five stars by itself, but the good news is the story is pretty good too. Don't spoil any part of the story by reading too much about it, just pick it up.
Pick up this book and enjoy the read, you will be glad you did. One last thing: make sure you get the hardcover book, not the Kindle version. It's a beautifully made book and worth the few extra bucks.
