This review is from: Melissa & Doug Wooden Tabletop Easel (Toy)
Melissa & Doug went out of their way to finding the cheapest form of woof available. The board is held up by 2 Styrofoam-like sticks of wood (they are that light!), that are screwed into place by equally flimsy screws. I was afraid they would disintegrate as I put pressure on them to go into the board sides. What ended up happening is that the colorful dial part disconnected from the screw, fell off... I had to glue them back together & I had to detach & re-attach two of the other dials to their screw because they where put on wrong in the factory!
So on top of having bad product quality safeguards, they used very cheap wood on portions that NEED to be sturdy and able to handle some moderate handling.. the "screws" and side "sticks". I kept the board because I needed it it right away, but this company is one I try to avoid because 70% their stuff, although well "designed", is built out of the worst material possible for any particular toy/item...
The chalk that came with the board was also very cheap. Most of the colors just scraped across the board vs leave an actual chalk line. I replaced those with better quality ones & all was well with the chalk board.
