5.0 out of 5 stars An Original Christmas Classic!, December 19, 2008
Length:: 1:24 Mins

Containing both secular and religious Christmas classics, John Denver truly delivered one of the greatest American holiday recordings ever conceived back in 1975. More than three decades later this heartwarming classic still shimmers with simple, engaging renditions of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer," "O Holy Night," and "Little Town of Bethlehem". In addition original numbers like the beautiful "Aspenglow," the fun-loving "Please, Daddy (Don't Get Drunk This Christmas)," and "Dreamland Express" (frequently found on Denver's anthologies) make for a rich and well-rounded collection.

Great review, JP! An artistic film as well. This is a great Christmas album, one of my favorites. When the commercialism and TV talk of sales, sales, sales and retail bottom lines gets to be too much for me, this album brings me back to where I belong. This version of O Holy Night is really special. Thanks!

So, JP, you are Rocky Raccoon!! I've finally found you.
One of my favorite songs is the one by the Beatles (or just Paul) that has Rocky Raccoon in it.

At the time I liked John Denver. Very nice review! I wish I could see your video, but my computer won't play video.

Now you made me miss my Utah Mountains again! Thanks for the beautiful reminder of my past JP. This sounds very nice, I am still in love with Diana Krall's Christmas CD as my favorite, but I may need to add this to my Christmas Collection! I hope you have a great Christmas!
