2.0 out of 5 stars Clasp doesn't hold securely, March 19, 2007
This review is from: Skagen Watches, Men's Titanium 233XLTTM Grey Mesh Titanium Watch (Watch)
This watch is lightweight and elegant in appearance. But the clasp loosened repeatedly in ordinary wear. I returned the item for credit.

I have had my Skagen watch for nearly a year now. The clasp has held perfectly for the entire time that I have had the watch, with the exception of the time that I adjusted the wrist band and did not make sure to fully clamp the adjustable band slider. I feel that your loss of this watch can probably be attributed to 'user error'....

However;

After nearly a full year of heavy wear, the crystal face plate of my watch has cracked. After bringing it in to the local watch shop, the gentleman behind the counter told me that this is an all too common problem with the Skagen brand (infact, he went as far as to say that he replaces crystals MORE OFTEN THAN BATTERIES on this brand of watch.) Not exactly a great vote of confidence for the argument to have this watch repaired at over half the original purchase price. However, after some thinking, I've decided to bite the bullet, and send it in for repair- This is just too cool of a time piece to let go! Great looks, outstanding value, incredible size (...It's just too bad that the crystal face that Skagen uses falls FAR SHORT of the quality used in the rest of the components used in it's build)
