Muti Region Code Instructions did not work!!,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Philips Region Free DVD Player - 1080p HDMI Upconverting - PAL/NTSC 110-220 Volts (Kitchen)
The Philips DVP3560 shipping box contained the instructions to enable it to be an all region player. The instructions did not work. It probably works on other Philips players but not this one.
1. Please make sure there is no DVD inside the unit
2. Press Setup
3. Press the down arrow three times until you see the "preference page"
4. Press 1,3,8,9,3,1
5. Press up/down key to select "0" <-THERE IS NO SELECTION TO BE MADE!!!!
6. Turn off the DVD player
Congratulations! Your DVD is now multi region.
Luckily, I found the correct instructions on the internet. I only have had this player for one day. It is working well so far. Here is the correct instructions.
1. No DVD in the tray. The tray closed. The unit and TV on.
2. Press "Setup" on the remote.
3. Press the "down" arrow repeatedly until the top heading shows "Preferences."
4a. Then press "OK" and Audio will be highlighted.
b. Press the "down" arrow and the next category "Subtitles" will be highlighted.
c. THEN enter this 6-digit code: "138931"
Immediately the screen will show "Region Code 1".
d. Press the "up" arrow and "Code 1" becomes "Code 0". All Region or Region Free.
e. Press "Setup" to exit.
5. Turn off and then back on to remove green bar along the top of the screen

thanks for posting these instructions. My player came with no instructions on how to convert the player to all region. After following your instructions, my DVD player now plays both US and British DVDs.

My player came with Region 0 already set up, but thanks for the instructions so I could confirm. Simple player but very effective. At $49, it's a steal!

Thank you for putting up the instructions for converting the player to region 0. My player also came without instructions, but yours made it easy to set it up.

I had to take a moment to thank you so very much for your directions! I received my player today, hooked it up, followed your directions and TADAAA...works like a charm. I put in a DVD from the UK and it started playing without a hiccup! So, thank you, thank you!!

Ok so I know that in the description it says PAL to NTSC, but could someone just confirm they've been able to play a Region 2 PAL DVD on this after inputting the code? I would be very appreciative.
