5.0 out of 5 stars SquareTrade 2-Year Laptop Accident Protection and Warranty ($1000-1250), November 1, 2012
This review is from: SquareTrade 2-Year Computer Accident Protection Plan ($1000-1250) (Personal Computers)
SquareTrade warranties are worth their weight in gold. Anything can go wrong with a laptop computer, and usually does. This outstanding warranty covers just about any issue that may arise and extends the 1 year manufacturers warranty to 2. I'm the type of person who never purchases extended warranties, but knowing what can go wrong on a laptop computer made it easy to decide to purchase this. I previously owned a very expensive Sony VAIO laptop computer. Just after the warranty expired, I was on a business trip to Ft. Myers, FL. I had placed the laptop on the top of my luggage, on a luggage cart. It fell off the cart, and the screen would no longer work. Not only was I stuck with no computer, but when I returned home; I was shocked to find out that the cost to repair the screen was $628. Than, exactly 1 year later, the screen broke again, and was no longer covered by the company who repaired it. I ended up having to purchase a new laptop. Ever since then; I've purchase SquareTrade warranties for any expensive items that I feel are prone to premature breakage. My latest warrant is for an expensive watch that I purchased a year ago. Over the weekend, it stopped working, but at least this time it's covered by SquareTrade, so it will cost me nothing to have repaired or replaced. SquareTrade warranties are unquestionably the best ones out there, and their customer service is second to none.
