Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Belkin AC Powered Ultra-Slim Series 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub (F4U040v) (Personal Computers)
Wow, this thing is super tiny.. Probably about the size of my iPhone.. works great -- it's serving dual purpose for me right now:
1. Powers my raspberry pi 2. Allows me to hook up additional peripherals (keyboard, mouse, harddisk) that act as devices for my raspberry pi Awesome! Edit: For those of you interested, the power brick that comes with this thing: Model: PSa525 OUTPUT: +5V 2.6A

That's exactly what I'm planning on using this for! I wasn't sure if the hub had enough juice to power the pi and I looked everywhere for more detailed specs. Thanks!

on eLinux(dot)org the have a listing of tested usb hubs and this is what they list. Not sure if the v in the model means much or not cause they didnt have a v on the tested one. they have many more tested and tried listed that are also sold on Amazon as well.
Belkin 4-Port Ultra-Slim Desktop Hub F4U040 USB 2.0 4-Port 5 V - 2.6 A Verified Powers the pi quite well, 4.85V across TP1&2 during idle and load. The PSU for the hub is a 2.5A 5v made in china. Seems solid. Does backfeed the mini USB port.
