Makes for a Villainous Reading Experience,
This review is from: Vordak the Incomprehensible: How to Grow Up and Rule the World (Kindle Edition)
I really intended to share this with my kids even though, technically, I bought it for myself. I thought I'd just open it and read the first few pages to pique their interest in it. It worked. They crowded around next to me to read over my shoulder and see what was making me laugh. Moments later, it was, "Mom, can I just see that book?" "No." *turns page* *laughs* "But, Mooooom, can I have a turn?" "No." *turns page* "MOOOOOOOOM!" "I bought this book for me." "Just for a minute." "NO!" And on it went for the time it took me to read it. Thankfully, it wasn't longer. They'd nearly exploded from anticipation by the time I'd finished. It's now been confiscated by one of my two kids and I'm sure the villainy of only having one copy of this book is being perpetuated.
I'm not saying I rule the world, but at least this reading experience proves that I rule this house, and I'm thankful this book helped me exercise my rule with an iron fist. "But, Mom, I just want to see that last page..." "NO!"
