Still waiting for street date delivery 36 hours after release...,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Halo 4 Limited Edition -Xbox 360 (Video Game)
So my review of the game and it's level of fun is purely a product of time spent playing my neighbors copy.
Ordered the LE in July. Got an email it shipped November 5th on schedule from Indianapolis, IN. I live in Northwest Ohio and it arrived in Columbus, OH at 1230AM on November, 6th. At 11PM on the 6th it arrived in Mesquite, TX. You read that right! Going to Ohio it shipped from Indiana arrived in Ohio and ended up in Texas.
When I bought this they still offered street date guarantee and as a Prime member my shipping option should have guaranteed this anyway. UPS may have screwed the pooch, but it was Amazon's responsibility to ensure delivery by using a means of delivery that could be verified and... (gasp) guaranteed. USPS has it, FedEx has it, and most of all UPS has it.
Amazon you may come through 8/10 times, but when one of those times you fail is on a highly anticipated product that was ordered months in advance? You lose my business. Period. Was praising up and down that Amazon was a viable game seller for release date titles based on past experience. Thanks for making me eat my words and making me wait at least 36 hours to go buy from another retailer something you guaranteed me on street date. You know the saying... 1st time shame on me. There won't be a second chance!

Stephen J. Thomas Jr. says:
Make sure you get some kind of compensation for Amazon's screw-up. I got $50 in promotional credit, but others have gotten as much as $60. Just call them and complain and ask for compensation, ask for a supervisor, complain, etc. until you get enough. They need to learn a hard lesson from this whole situation.

Thanks for the tip. Took the time to speak with a supervisor and they were more than happy to provide a $70 order credit. Doesn't help with the fact that the game is still MIA, but it goes a long way to showing they have the ability to make a direct impact when they make a mistake.

Well I can't speak for your situation, but if yours is identical to mine? $10 is a big juicy one. Ask for a supervisor. Took me 30 minutes of talking, but considering it STILL hasn't arrived I had a good case for being angry.
