Good but not Great,

This review is from: African faces: A homage to the african mask (Hardcover)
A large coffee table book. Self described a a 'book of photographs'. Written material in both English & French.
Good things: Outstanding photography, rarely seen masks, nice photos of the inside/backside of the masks (rarely included); some interesting macrophoto detail.
Bad things: A lot of wasted blank space that could have held more mask photographs; double page photos do not add that much; very little information on the mask/tribes/uses/mask location (a major drawback)found in the back of the book; price (expensive).
Price: Published at $150, at Amazon's $94.50 still expensive for a tribal art book unless you want a coffee table photograph book.
