A love-it (well, at least like-it) or hate-it book,
This review is from: How Should a Person Be?: A Novel from Life (Hardcover)
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program (What's this?)How to tell which will be your reaction? Well, I do think this is more a book for the under 35 group, so that might help. Paradoxically, I'm more than twice 35 and enjoyed it, although I perceived it as a revelation of the thinking of those between 18-35. So I enjoyed the book without admiring the main character, obviously a fictionalized version of the author.
There's a certain amount of uncertain and confused thinking portrayed, and so this isn't a book that will answer the question it asks. However, I believe it will speak to a certain audience and give sufficient food for thought to guide the reader into making rational decisions.
So I do recommend this for the 18-35 group, especially female since it soes seem apparant that the author doesn't realize she might attract some guys to the book. Guys and those over 35 need to read these reviews, not just mine, before deciding whether or not this book is worth reading.
