Customer service Horrible & a lot of Resets,

This product worked great for about 2-3 months then I had to reset the router sometimes. About 5 months after I bought this router, I had to reset it 4-5 times a week. It will not stay connected with my phone, laptop, or my computer (hardwired). I know it is not my modem because when I reset it, I connect with any or all of my devices. I called customer services and they said that they can NOT help me unless I pay for their customer services which only last 90 days. They wanted to charge me $40(1-time trouble shooting services), $69(6 months), or $99(1 year). You must also realize that the product is warranted for 1 year and I explained that to the lady and she would not help me unless I was willing to pay at least $40. I am not willing to pay this because it only cost $79 from Staples. At this point, she hung up the phone on me. I was shocked. I wasn't hollering or anything at her. I just wanted an explanation. Well, I will never buy another NetGear product. I am going to try to return it to Staples. Do NOT buy any NetGear product unless you want this kind of service.
I did call back and the second person seemed to be helpful but he ask for my ID # from my previous call and he asked for a moment to read the service call and he never returned to talk to me and he never hung up either. I am really done with this company. Don't buy it!!!

Had a similar issue like yours and couldn't see buying the "warranty" stuff when they have a "lifetime" warranty now on the same thing for less than they are selling their other for. Worked for two weeks then died. It was a refurb but still why die when you turn the power off then back on? Got an electrical engineer looking at it and if he can get it to work then money saved.... If not well---There is a Belken that I am looking at....

Wireless kept blinking on and off, wireless devices could no longer connect. They would not issue an RMA for the defective one unless I bought tech support. Said I must buy tech support so they can diagnose it, are you kidding? The wireless quit working, what is there to diagnose? I had already reset it , reconfigured, same problem, replaced it with a new router same model and it worked fine. Had I known they would not honor the warranty I would have replaced it with another brand. NETGEAR products are throw aways, they quit toss it, there is no warranty.

Wow! Thanks a ton mark for saving me from the problem of this product. I was almost ready to check out, but after reading your review I changed my mind, and wanted to do more research.

Mine has the exact same problem. CONSTANTLY drops signals and requires reboots to get connections established. I'm ready to throw this thing in the lake and get another brand

Totaly aggree, I have the same product with exactly the same problem? I am having to reset 3-4 times a day, and it is not the Modem, as it works fine when connected directlyto the computer. What a piece of junk.
