This review is from: La Crosse Technology WT-5220U-IT Projection Alarm Clock with Indoor/Outdoor Temperature (Kitchen)
This is another example of poor made in China quality. It has all the essential parts, but they are poorly designed and integrated.
The projection display has three levels. Dim, dimmer, and a black hole mode that actually sucks photons from the room. If there is any ambient light in your room you will not be able to see the projected time.
The regular display also is very dark and only comes on when you press snooze. Even when on the adapter there is no way to set the back-light to stay on.
The Atomic clock will not synchronize (This clock is supposed to replace another atomic clock that syncs fine in the same location.) There is an icon is supposed to show if the clock is trying to sync, but it just stays on all the time and does not tell you anything. The clock only apparently tries to sync once a day and there does not appear to be a way to force a manual sync.
The alarm set only has an UP button, so if you miss setting the alarm by one minute or hour, you must scroll through 59 or 24 more times to get back to the original time.
The projection time displays time and temperature ALTERNATELY. There is no way to set so that you can see both temperature and time, or time only. The flashing through the temperature is annoying when you just want to know what time it is.
The projected display does not tell you if the alarm is set or not. You must look at the clock face itself.
