3.0 out of 5 stars HOPEFUL BUT DISAPPOINTED, August 14, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Wacom Wireless Accessory Kit for Bamboo and Intuos Tablets (ACK40401) (Personal Computers)
The Wacom's wireless kit is a hopeful product, however I was disappointed for two main reasons.

1. The battery life will only last you 10 hours max, and that is with a small Intuos5 tablet. THIS MEANS that you have to charge your tablet daily. In my opinion, if you are going to charge your tablet daily, might as well use the cord instead of having to take the cord out, plug it in, putting it away, and doing that everyday.

2. Bug issues. I have had my tablet spaz out on a few occasions using this wireless option. I don't know if it's a receiver issue or what, but my touch was moving the cursor in bizarre motions out of control.

The wireless option is very convenient and clean if you like to travel and carry your tablet around. However, the bug issues and the battery issue proved to much of a con for my taste.

Sincerely,
Johnny

I think 10 hours is perfect for the hobbyist or someone who doesn't draw every day...however I can see why this would be a bit disappointing as a hardcore user or professional (which you seem to be since you have the Intuos)

I wonder how it will perform with my intuos 5 large module.

Yea I randomly get that spazzing thing like as if the mouse pointer goes crazy and spazzes all across the screen. I had to reset my Laptop in order to resolve the issue, so I assume a driver crashed.

I have the CTh670 wired - considering this wireless adapter. Just wanted to mention, it spazzes out every so often when wired as well. I've always just logged out and back in to the PC. (don't even have to fully reboot) to clear it up. I generally let my computer sleep as opposed to hibernate or full shutdown, and that occasionally causes odd behavior which will require a full reboot.

I have the small Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch tablet, but I have not yet purchased the wireless kit. Sometimes the cursor will go all jittery, where it starts shaking and jerking all over the screen. I usually have to reboot when this happens. So it may not be the wireless kit causing your bug issues---it may be an inherent part of the Intuos line of tablets.
