Great Introduction to Revelation,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Reading Revelation Responsibly: Uncivil Worship and Witness: Following the Lamb into the New Creation (Paperback)
I am a college senior about to graduate, and I'm writing a senior thesis on the book of Revelation. This book was one of the first ones that I read, and it was incredibly helpful. The book is written so that it can be understood by virtually anyone, yet it also has an extensive bibliography that is useful for anyone who wants to further study the book of Revelation. This book is also a great resource for "recovering evangelicals", those who were raised reading the bible through a dispensational lens and have since come to reject that brand of Christianity. Lastly, this book is very helpful for those who want to know what Revelation actually says, as opposed to what people in the popular sphere think it says (hint: Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim Lahaye are almost completely wrong). So, if it hasn't become obvious already, I highly recommend this book.
