5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing. Fun. Cheap...and EXPLOSIONS!!!, November 20, 2012
This review is from: Borderlands 2: Mister Torgue's Campaign of Carnage Add-On Campaign Pack (Software Download)
While I think the first DLC for BD2, the Captain Scarlet, is a pretty decent add-on, Mr.Torgue's campaign is honestly much, much better.

It packs a lot of fun, not-so-annoying as Scarlet's campaign line(walking and walking and more walking), hilarious and well-designed story, the borderlands All-star characters like Mad Moxxi and Tiny Tina (awesome new characters too), with new Vending machines and seraph goodies to check out. Here are a couple of things I really liked about this DLC

-Fun Campaign-

The campaign is no longer focused on screwing you up or making you walk for miles unlike the Scarlet.Remember when you had to get the last piece of compass, which was locked in a chest, broken to pieces, had to be repaired, had to be taken to the lighthouse and blah blah blah(stupid and no-fun). Honestly it was quite annoying for me until I got to a point where I got eaten by Leviathan (I mean, come on. That part was cool).

However, this time you get to actually enjoy the main campaign. I will not say the storyline since I do not want to spoil this DLC for others, but here are some 'cool' things about the main campaign?

Ever robbed vendings machines full of raisin cookies? Help Tiny Tina take revenge on machines that fed her raisin cookies.
One part actually makes you RACE!!! with checkpoints and time!!! It is even repeatable for better time/harder difficulty!
Mad Moxxi is your homicide sponsor!!! Along with Mr. Torgue she will guide you through your campaign of murder and bar brawls!!!
Fight through tons of bosses as you rank up in the badass ranks of Pandora with nothing but pure fire-power and explosions!!!

-Even more seraph items to check out+the TORGUE COINS-

the creepy guy who sells seraph item apparently made a chain store in this DLC. However, the item he sells are different.
Instead of the weak sauce seraph weapons he sells seraph SHIELDS (not the evolution), GRENADE MODS, and a terrible relic called 'Might of Seraphs" The shields have been proven to be just "ok", but the grenade mod's power are comparable to that of the legendary grenade mods.

Also, the new currency called Torgue coins will appear along with eridium as you kill people. These tokens are quite rare, but can be
easily farmed through several repeatable quests ingame. Once the player farmed up enough coins, he can purchase torgue weapons from
torgue vending machines. What is awesome that it even sells LEGENDARY torgue items. Big fan of torgue shotguns or torgue miniguns? Well, here is your chance to collect em all!

-New raid boss-

Just like the first DLC the player gets one more boss to kill for loot.
(His name is Pete the Ultra Invincible, and drops better loot then Hyperius and Master Gee)
He doesn't deal insane amount of damage, but his huge AOE fire+corrosive beam that spins 180 degrees all over the map does
pack a punch. Make sure you bring your friends! (Siren, if possible, for you will find reviving quite tricky)
The only thing that is disappointing is that Pete, just like other DLC bosses, can only be farmed once a day.

-New enemies-

Just like the first DLC enemies do look different. Although...sadly most of em are just different texture packs.
Some enemies though, like the motorcycle riding marauders, are completely new and fresh. However, new enemies weren't as
impressive as the first DLC since Scarlet actually had more types.

-Bar brawls, Arena fights, and Buzzard slaughter-

Just to make sure the player never runs out of something to kill, 3 repeatable quests are always ready.

Bar brawl-step into a bar filled with a bunch of angry drunks like Cannibal rat, Engineers, Bandits and etc.
Fight them all or watch them kill each other. This is proven to be one of the easiest (and it's fun as hell) way to farm up bunch of
torgue coins.

Arena-Step into the biggest Arena yet in Pandora and rip some faces! If you missed the Mad Moxxi's underdome from borderlands 1, or missions like Flynt's slaughter house/Hyperion slaughter from borderlands 2, then you will definitely love this side quest.

Buzzard slaughter-simple. get in there and take out as many buzzards you can before time runs out. This is a little bit challenging then the others, and really annoying too (that is what I think at least), but if you like buzzards for some reason then, well, why not?
