I can related about trying so many things out there. I have rec'd holiday gifts over the years of all kinds of "Pizza Making Kits" however none that had a stone. I came very close to buying one at a Pampered Chef party's, but did not. I guess I was always afraid I would break it or with my luck something would go wrong. So I got an Airbake type pan that was OK. One with several holes in the pans, both sq & round so I had both shaped burn marks in the bottom of crust that made a very unique taste of not cooked/burnt at same time! I want to try stones for pizza and because, I recently started thinking of making my own Pita Bread which needs a very high heat..so I am now looking at Baking/Pizza stones to buy! America's Test Kitchen feels that "OLD STONE OVEN" is the best! From your using it, how would you compare to that statement?
thanks so much, Tim! From also Tim:
Tim Veno... I wish with letter "I" rather than "E", cause I love Italian food and I am a wine lush!!
