This review is from: Kreg KMA2800 Crown-Pro Crown Molding Tool (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased this after watching a demonstration of this on YouTube. The demonstration on YouTube was with a one foot length of 3 inch crown. That is the only size this jig is meant to cut. Anything larger or longer is a hazard. The jig raises the wood off the saw so you'll need to grip the wood and jig and hold it tight to the saw. Even if you build some supports for your wood, it's hard to maintain consistent cuts: the elevated surface and cheap, plastic construction is simply not stable. To make the situation worse, if you press down too hard on the jig, the angle will slip. The cost of this product is the same as buying cornice stops (if you have a DeWalt). The only redeeming part of this jig is that it has a little, cheat sheet sticker for how to position the wood and the saw when you cut inside or outside corners.

Sounds like a user error to me. I have this product and it is an absolute gem.

Thomas S. Condon says:
1) Used saw horses to balance longer pieces - no problems.
2) Plastic is solid and sturdy - no problems.
3) Angle adjuster can be tightened so it won't slip - no problems.
4) The only redeeming part of this person's review - it helps you discern whether the 1 star is product-related or user-related.

You sir, are a professional reviewer who I found posted the same review on 3 different products by the same manufacturer word for word. You review everything and anything which leads me to believe you do it for ranking. You obviously have no prior skill with working with a saw and are quick to blame your failures on a product that is clearly a jig for helping the consumer achieve the correct cutting angle for crown molding. Your review does nothing but hurt the product reputation and cause the consumer to have false impressions of the product. Reviews should be done by someone who has some idea of what they are reviewing, not someone who is ranked by how many times they post a review.

this is a great product. Made cuts perfect. If your making cuts on long boards even on a saw with extensions you have to support your work properly. I've used 1000 dollar saws that still have to have additional supports. Your talking about a 30 dollar jig. Get real
