Champagne for the Grown & Sexy!!,
This review is from: 24-7 (Audio CD)
Kevon shows here that the Edmonds' family has got great music talents in their veins, being in the league for decades with After 7. Kevon's brother, the legendary Babyface brings his magic production and songwriting savoir-faire to this magnificent masterpiece. It is a superbly arranged record and it was performed with enormous heart. This album is juicy, smooth, dreamy, melancholichas and it begs you to just lay down and dream. It is obvious to notice that this album was not forced and that is why it just rolls itself with a sensitive and exceptional voice as well as simple but deep lyrics.
My favorite tracks are "How Often", "Never Love You", "24/7", "Anyway" and especially the delicious duet with Babyface "A girl like you" which is riminiscent of "someone to love" with Jon B.
It is really sad to see commercial figures defining the artists' career nowadays but it's a also shame for this majority enjoying Pepsis and Cokes while there is accessible champagne out there. Let's reverse the trend and show that wrong majority what real music is all about. If you already beleive that democracy can mislead in this music industry; then you should not hesitate to buy this timeless album. Last warning, it's for the Grown and Sexy people!!
