This review is from: Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two - Nintendo Wii (Video Game)
So, I just got this game yesterday, and my roommate and I spent about 3 solid hours playing. We had a blast!!! Admittedly, we didn't make it very far into the game, since neither of us are really 'gamers', so to speak. In fact, the first Epic Mickey was the first video game that I could ever complete, if that tells you anything... lol.
My experience is that it took a second player to really make it fun. I started playing solo as mickey, but couldn't quite get Oswald to use his electricity. At all. So, I forced my roommate to join me, but we had to start over with a new game, because the 2nd player 'drop-in' feature that I had read about didn't work. Perhaps it was just my amazing skillz that caused that hiccup, I'm not sure, but I'll update it if I can ever make it work properly.
Once we started a new game with both characters, we had such a good time we had to force ourselves to turn it off and go to bed. Similar to the original game, the thinner can be used to reveal hidden treasures, and there are several mini-quests in which you can participate.
Update - Jan 2013 - so, I still haven't been able to get the drop-in feature to work properly, but the game is a blast overall. I still hold that it is better with 2 players.
