5.0 out of 5 stars We Want A FULL VERSION ZORRO!, January 24, 2002
By A Customer
I saw this MOVIE 20 years ago, it was FULL TWO HOURS and MUCH, MUCH more fun than this brutally "edited" version! Alain Delon fans, Zorro fans, let's talk our wish clear and loud: WE WANT SEE
THE WHOLE MOVIE!

I am a little confused with your review....it is probably just the way i am reading it. So this particular version is not the full uneditted version? I looked at several others of this product online and this one is the longest running time and i thought that it would be the full one.
If you could please let me know if this is the full version or the editted version I would much appreciate it!
Thanks

I agree with the post, the original version was 2 hours long and all the english versions are edited, the italian version is the full version. I also saw the movie in its original version in english and have been looking for it everywhere with no luck. I can't undestand why they would eddit it, thwy should've left it the way it was made.

I just read on Wikipedia that the original French version was 2 hours long and that it was cut for the US market to 90 minutes. I don't know which version I saw on cable when I was younger but I liked it anyway. You may have to go out of the US market to find a longer version than this one.

According to DVD Talk, the new DVD and Blu-Ray editions released by Sommerville House on November 19, 2012, contain the original full-length version of the movie! (They also say that the picture quality is surprisingly good on the Blu-Ray.)

Thanks for the info. I saw Zorro on tv in the 70's and it was the longer version. So several years ago when I purchased the dvd, I was disappointed with the edit. I am planning to purchase the new blu-ray and I would like to see the original again.

Me too! The original contained footage that was essential to understanding the plot. So far I've only found it once: on YouTube, in Turkish.

BTW I DID see the original, unedited film in English - so there's got to be a copy around somewhere...
