Jason P. Pumphrey says:
some mistakes w/ this release, it clearly says that is conatins BOTH the American and Mexican versions on one disc, NOT TRUE, they used a shorter mexican print for BOTH presentations and they did'nt even get that right.
The true mexican version runs longer than the one contained on this disc, and had an extended dance scene, it's not on the film itself, but is presented as an extra, it should have been incorperated into the film so it would be complete.
The American/US version that VCI presents here on this disc uses the same mexican print just with a English soundtrack, the proper US version had different title cards and and during the "Toyland" scene when Santa is playing his magic organ, the country titles were in English, not Spanish.
This was is misleading, I thought whan it said contains BOTH US and Mexican versions, that it would be two unique prints of the film, also the back on the case it clearly says:
American Version 85 min, Mexican version 94 min.
even worse is the English Toyland scene (agian presented as an extra and not incorperated in to the US version of the film IS WAY OFF SYNC, I MEAN VERY OF SYNC!
I have a public domain release of the US version on DVD, but was hoping to finally have nice widescreen tranfser of that version, but no dice.
I appreciate VCI putting this out on blu, BUT DO IT CORRECTLY
