If you know what vinyl is, and you revere it like I do, then you will thank your lucky stars to read J.P Goss's VINYL LIVES. It is the definitive tome describing the rise and fall of records stores in the U.S. Engaging, personal and delightful - you will (like I have) enjoy this for all of the celebration around that which came BEFORE CDs, and that which is being reborn again. It's a chronicle that serves as an historical benchmark, to be sure. But more than that, it's a testament to the younger markets that realize the importance and vigilance of Vinyl and how they are embarking on a resurgence to bring the medium to (hopefully) new heights. Great job J.B. and thank you for bring Vinyl Lives back into my life!
