This review is from: Songs (Audio CD)
A long time fan of Placido Domingo, I was looking forward to this album, but as hard as I try to like it, I just feel let down. Some of the songs are good, but the beautiful French song La chanson des vieux amants with an artist called ZAZ has been butchered! To top it all off, in the much loved song What a Wonderful World, he is singing the wrong lyrics, which is completely off-putting, and makes me wonder if he understands what he is singing, because his version makes no sense - "I hear babies cry, I watch them grow, there aint much more that I'll never know" - What the??

I would suggest listening to the mp3 samples yourself as this, in my opinion, is a very biased review and of course, the reviewer has the right to dislike the album but do not be put off the CD by this review. I bought the CD and simply love it.

Of course it's a biased review! A review is an individual's opinion of a product. It is inherently biased.
