What Were They Thinking?,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Pearl iZUMi Thermal Arm Warmer (Sports Apparel)
I have always been an avid fan of Pearl Izumi products. But I just can't figure out what they were thinking when they designed the Thermal Arm Warmers. I am 5'8" and 150 lbs. I have warn Sugoi arm warmers in size small for some time. So I ordered these Pearls in small also. When they arrived I put them on. The arm diameter was just right, but they were about 8" too long! So who were they designed to fit if not me? I would think I was the perfect candidate for small as I was with Sugoi. I guess they figure that the normal person who would order small is 150 lbs and at least 6' tall. Also, the elastic band at the top which is intended to keep them up is covered with some felt-like material and really does very little to keep them from sliding down. All other arm warmers I have warn or seen have a silicone or rubber band that actually sticks to the skin and does a very good job of securing them. Maybe they thought something like that would cause irritation. If that is the case I suggest someone from their design team buys a pair of Sugoi and wears them. It does not irritate and does a much better job of keeping them up. Come to think of it, my old Pearl leg warmers have he same felt covered elastic at the top and they are always sliding down. I have read reviews on Pearl's Thermal Leg Warmers and seen very similar complaints about poor fit and the elastic band not doing it's job. For their sake I hope they monitor reviews like this to get the idea. These are going back today.

5-8 / 150 pounds and you fit a Sugoi small ?? !! I am the same size and I just received Sugio medium (only 16" in length) that is TOO small in arm length. Returning those and again looking once more. DAVID STOP THINKING OF JUST YOURSELF: it would be helpful if you gave the actual length in addition to saying they are too long!
