Logitech K400 Wireless Keyboard / TrackPad Works Well With This,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Samsung Series 3 Chromebox (Personal Computers)
I have hooked up this Chromebox to my HDTV system and it works quite well. I purchased the DisplayPort to HDMI cable and the video is great in all it's 1080P goodness. I had to use the analog jack on the front of the box to hook it up to my Denon receiver since the DisplayPort does not pass along audio but the sound is quite good. I wish the analog audio jack was on the back of the unit but that's a small quibble. I purchased the Logitech K400 wireless keyboard / trackpad for this unit and it works flawlessly. The Logitech K400 is not a bluetooth unit. Very nice Chrome computer. Works very well as a HTPC.

Thanks for the device information with this device. I agree it makes for the perfect living room web terminal for the HDTV when the cable content gets to you........I see an opportunity for Google TV here to make Chrome OS the embedded OS on that device........................hint hint Google

What size is your TV? Does it find the right resolution to use? The Chromebook website says it supports two 30" monitors, it does not say anything about large TVs. Thanks.

The TV is 46 inches and there is no problem with the 1080P resolution. It formats perfectly and looks very good. I have read that about the 30 inch monitors also. Very puzzling as I see no problem.

I'm also considering this as a HTPC for my 55 inch HDTV. Have u tried streaming content from sites that use sliverlight ? I often watch shows on ABC.com and from Xfinity TV. I hope it scales appropriately and it still streams in high quality.

Just to give you a heads up the display port even when converted to HDMI via an adapter will transmit audio. I am actually running mine through my Harman Kardon receiver via the HDMI adapter and I get clear video/audio. I had the Lenovo N5902 keyboard and it was amazing but I had 2 defective ones and my local store no longer carries them so I had to purchase the k400 as you. I like the keyboard but I miss the one hand operation and the cursor strolling is very slow even when the mouse speed is turned all the way up. How do you feel about the cursor and scrolling speed?
