No dust protection for filters,
This review is from: Tiffen 4BLTPCHLGK Large Belt Style Filter Pouch for Filters 62mm to 82mm (Camera)
The purpose of a filter case should be to provide a more compact alternative to individual plaster filter cases without losing the protection they provide. The Tiffen fails in this regard as the flap covers the top but not the two sides of the compartment for the filters.
The belt loop is of little value as I would not want to have this case which is open to the elements, and in particular windblown dust and dirt, outside of a camera bag any longer than is necessary to add a filter to a lens.
There is a 5/8" gap at the top of the case where it sits after attaching the Velcro from the flap to the front of the case. In addition the two sides of the case extend out 1/2" on each side from the top of the flap so there is plenty of ways for dust and water to get inside the case.
A traditional wallet style filter case may not be as compact but it will provide protection for the filters and keep them clean and ready for use.
