Kindle Edition Now Has a Cover,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: The West: Stories from Ireland (Kindle Edition)I have only read the first three stories in this collection, but have enjoyed them immensely! In fact, I liked them so much that I went ahead and bought the author's companion collection, "Out of the Blue." For those who have been put off by a reviewer's criticism of the Kindle edition, by all means go ahead and buy the book! The problem of the missing cover has been rectified and the overall formatting of the book is quite good. It still lacks a table of contents, but that hasn't been an issue with me; I am reading the stories sequentially.
(I do agree with the aforementioned reviewer's criticism, however. I don't know why some publishers are so sloppy with their e-book listings. I own just over 500 Kindle books, and the ones I have returned to Amazon lack covers, tables of contents, or the artwork, photos, etc. that come with the the printed paper edition. I buy all of my Kindle books on my laptop, and the Kindle for PC version shows books in color. Just because the Kindle currently does not have color capability doesn't mean that this will always be the case. Publishers, get with it! It's almost as easy to return a poorly formatted book to Amazon as it is to download it in the first place!)
