Most electronics now require a 3-prong outlet to use, but what if you have a 2- prong outlet in the wall?
Most computers and accessories, including a surge, now are 3-prong. Place one of the "AXIS 3-Prong into 2-Prong Adapters" onto the 3-prong plug of your computer, surge, refrigerator, etc. At first it may seem like it doesn't fit only fitting half way. IT WILL FIT! Use some more elbow grease and hand strength. Wiggle it in, if you must and you will find it is a perfect fit. Make sure their is no space at all. The adapter and the back of your original prong plug must touch. Now you have a 2-prong. Make sure your appliance is off before you plug it in to the wall outlet.
The 2-prong adapter will fit tightly into the wall outlet.
If you have any of those old hard rubber "3 prong to 2 prong" adapters, especially if they have burn marks on them, it is time to replace them.
Shopping on Amazon.com allowed me to look for just the right adapter and get two of them for a cheap price. I didn't have to shop all over town for them and wait impatiently in a long line.
