How to Adjust if Text or Images are Distorted,
This review is from: Acer S201HL bd 20-Inch Widescreen Ultra-Slim LED Display - Black (Personal Computers)
I just set up my new Acer S201HL. The display is clear and bright and I can't see a single problem pixel. The only issue was distorted text and images, but this was easily and thoroughly remedied by doing the following on my Windows XP system: 1. Right click on a blank area of the desktop. 2. Select "Properties" from the context menu. 3. Select "Settings". 4. Move the "Screen Resolution" slider to the right until it gets to 1600 by 900 pixels. 5. Click "Apply". 6. When the "...Retain settings?" window appears, click "Yes". 7. Click "OK" to close the "Properties" window. You should now be looking a beautiful, crisp, undistorted desktop. 8. Enjoy!
I haven't noticed any backlighting problem, but I've read elsewhere that this and other issues, such as color correction, can be resolved by using the monitor menu to make the necessary adjustments.
By the way, this monitor tilts up to 5 degrees forward and 15 degrees back - not much variation, but it's perfect for me at 15 degrees back.
