The greatest trip in the world,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Greatest Salesman in the World (Mass Market Paperback)
The summer after my freshman year in high school, a ton of years ago, I was miserable. I didn't have any new friends at school, I was having a hard time at home, and I was trying to get through everyday with a smile on my face.
I took a trip with a bunch of people I didn't know, a 10 day backpacking trip to an island in lake superior. Our guide was a 75 year-old man named Dave. Everyday, Dave read us a chapter from this book, and everyday my respect for him grew.
The day I got off the island I bought the book and began my ten month journey through the scrolls it contained. I've followed the instructions, reading each chapter for one month, several times. I've worn out several copies and given away several others.
This book profoundly changed my life. Not only am I extraordinarily successful in terms of "material" success, but I am happier than I ever imagined it was possible to be several years ago before I went on that island. Buy this book, follow it's instructions, and even if you are never the richest woman or man on earth, you will be among the happiest.

I once took a week long hiking trip as well.. across an island.. also in lake superior.. when I was just the same age! Was it by chance Isle Royale? The eye of the wolf per se? I remember a rainbow cove there, the trip for me also had a profound impact. Special place

I read the book "miles away... worlds apart" and I think its a great book on how to be happy even though its really on comparing two worlds, that of Ponzi schemer scott rothstein and the authors community. - enjoy

So happy for you. I've read many self help books and I'm glad I and you too found this one, because it is really the only one you'll ever need. You have to read it like you did though, by doing the scrolls as told and then make it your bible as re-enforcement.

I've read this book several times in five years! Always find something new and profound! It changed my life as well. But its not about material wealth, its about wealth of the mind. Use the scrolls and apply them to your life and it will transform you!

I wrote 3 letters to each publishing house saying what it mean to me. His sweet wife wrote me back telling me what the letters meant to her. He had a gift from God.
