It was not great. It was not aweful. It was decent.
I will keep it short and simple. Warning minor spoilers
What I liked
Great creepy atmosphere. It is not a horror game it is a detective game.
Setting was cool. blend of current with a few elements of the history of Salem and the witch trials.
Easy achievements( or trophies ) pretty self explanatory
Lot of collectibles. A lot of different little things to find in the game, but does not go overboard like the Arkham games.
Makes you think. You are presented with puzzles as to getting in or around areas in the game, but you are given the powers get around them.
Cool little story with a nice twist.
What I did not like.
Too short. Can be beat in one sitting. Play time depending on how quickly you figure out puzzles and how much time you spend collecting things I say about 10-12 hours of play.
The demon "battles" not sure how to put it. The game would have served better to just have the detective aspect and then the puzzles. The demons and sneaking up to stealthly kill them could have been completely left out.
Little to no replayability.
Overall is it worth buying? No. The game is good for one play through and that is it. You will see everything it has to offer in one time through.

I was going to write a review but you have said about the same things I would have. I differ in a few points though in what I like. I don't think it was too short for the 15 bucks I paid for it. There should have been a better way to kill the damn demons, hopefully at a distance. They made the game frustrating while adding nothing. Reloading way too slow after being killed by the damn demons. Give me saves like in Oblivion. Thanks for your review but if I had read it before I probably would still have paid the 15 bucks to own it----16 I don't think so.
