5.0 out of 5 stars I Love FUEGO!!!, June 24, 2014
This review is from: Fuego (Audio CD)
Alas the first review was by a hater...one who does not believe that a band has the right to evolve...to polish their sound. Gone are the days of Rift and Pictures of Billy Breathing his last breath...Ok time to be serious...haters: Did you really expect Story of the Ghost or Lawn Boy 2??? I have not heard this band this happy or focused since 1998. Yes the Line and 555 have a bit of a pop feel and gloss to it but that should not detract from the fact that they are still GREAT songs and will be a major force during upcoming shows. The musicianship on this record is amazing plain and simple. I for one am glad to see the band stretching into more uncharted territory.

Amen brother. The album has been out for 8 hours. If you actually sit down and listen you may hear a fantastic group of musicians. Try listening to the lyrics. Give the band a chance to express in new ways and bring these songs to live performance. The band has evolved as any great artist do.
I have enjoyed my first listen.

It may have taken me a few listens for it to sink into me and set the hook, but I agree that this album is outstanding. It has a live feel to it unlike many other studio works from jam bands. If people want to listen to the stuff from the 90's, then they should. No reason to complain about an album that has gone in a slightly different and a tad more refined direction.
