Works for me,

This review is from: Audio-Technica PRO24CM Camera-Mount Stereo Condenser Microphone (Electronics)
I'm using the Audio-Technica PRO24CM on a GoPro Hero 2 cam. I have been very pleased in the sound quality of the microphone. It's a big improvement over On-board mics on camcorders which are not ideal for good sound recording. They tend to pick up sound from all directions, like behind the camera and sound almost tinning and hollow. For those who have used GoPro cams know that the GoPro on-board mic record audio so-so and that's why most videos shot with a GoPro are mated later in post with soundtracks. Now that the Hero 2 has a mic input jack we can now record better audio using external microphones.
The PRO24CM was within my budget and works like it was designed. Because it's small, I use it for my close up video work as well as for general projects. There are better microphones on the market, like brand and model specific for many camcorders but they cost lots more.

I got it for my Hero2s that I have here with me in Afghanistan. But I noticed immediately that the volume from this mic is about half of that the of built-in mic. Otherr people have said the same of the volume, but I'm not sure if the sounds quality justifies such a drastic loss of volume.
