This review is from: Sew What You Love: The Easiest, Prettiest Projects Ever (Spiral-bound)
The author does a fantastic job outlining projects in this book. The instructions are very clear and the patterns included are fantastic. I really loved the bags and sewing for yourself sections of this book. I gave it three stars because I felt that a large portion of this book was devoted to clothing for little girls and baby toys. Those of us with older children end up with a lot of projects that will never be attempted. Great for someone with a baby or toddler girl, those of us with boys are kinda left out though.

I always appreciate a review that gives us a good idea about the contents, particularly a DIY type book. Thanks for mentioning that it has a high number of items for tots, particularly girls. Too many reviews fail to fully inform. It's rather useless for someone to just say .. "I love it" or "I didn't like it".. as each person's taste and interests may be quite different. But when a review gives actual information about a book's contents, we can better judge if a book is for us or not.

Thank you for the info. I was thinking about purchasing the book but I have a grandson and since most of the pojects are for little girls, (of which I hope to have some grandaughters someday) I will pass for now.

I wish I would have read your review before I bought this book! I agree that there are lots of projects for little girls and babies. I don't have any children, which means I won't make the majority of the projects in the book.

Thank you for giving specifics in your review! I love it when people do that. As an auntie with a 6-mo old niece your review really helps me in the decision of whether or not to buy this book.
