4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent inexpensive portable lens protection, July 10, 2013
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Bluecell Black Large DSLR camera Drawstring Soft Neoprene Lens Pouch Bag Cover for Sony Canon Nikon Pentax Olympus Panasonic (Electronics)
I just bought this for my Tamron SP A005 70-300mm F/4.0-5.6 Di VC USD lens for Canon. With the lens hood turned around for storage, it is a perfect fit. Initially it looked long, but with the draw string fully pulled, it is pretty much perfect. Construction and material look decent, stitching looks good. The belt loop is very solid and I would trust it to keep the lens on any belt easily. The little hook is a bit flimsy. Wouldn't want to hang a heavy lens from it under any kind of hiking for example. The neoprene should provide good basic protection from minor bumps and any kind of scratching. I would give it five stars if it weren't for the uninspiring hook. See my uploaded pictures under product description.

Does your lens have a tripod collar & foot? I was thinking it the tripod mount was too large to fit inside the bag, with the lens front element first, it would leave the tripod foot out, and still snug with the drawstring?

My lens doesn't have a trip collar/foot. The bag is not large enough for that. It is not a snug fit, but there is no extra space. I don't think it would work very well to just pull over the lens up to the collar as a partial dust cover. Suggest getting a larger model.
