Great watch for the money,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Looks good; rugged, strong design feels a bit chunkier than needs to be. Nice product, I've had it for about a month, have banged it while camping and swam on a fast river and dipped in hot springs, including 110 degree water while wearing it without a problem, no water leaks or scratches so far. The soft leather inside the strap dried very fast. I dragged the strap against some rocks but left no signs of damage at all.
Cons: the hand that measures seconds on the chrono (the longest, thinnest hand) does not stop directly in front of the second markers but a bit in between and it also bounces back a little bit so it feels terribly flimsy. Part of the allure about watches, at least for me, is to have a solid, precise machine on my wrist -in this day and age who needs a watch, really? Along those lines I wish there was a clear main marker on the basel; I will never use it to calculate distances via speed, but I'd like to use it to know how long I have on a parking meter or a dish on the stove, so having one big, clear marker would be great instead of three small red dots and all the minute numbers.
Not terribly bad though for a hundred bucks.
Hope that helps!
*** UPDATE: Super please with how sturdy this thing is! Three weeks in the Caribbean with almost daily salt water submersion, sand all over, bumping against rough rocks and it has no scratches at all! The band is still in great shape, I scrub it with hand soap every few months and that's enough. No need to change the battery yet. Keeps the time flawlessly. Really great watch!
