This review is from: Twelve South (12-1114) HoverBar for iPad 2 (Personal Computers)Overall, I would say its a good product. I have a carbon fiber clamp arm for my iPad 2, but I when I saw this it seemed like it would be a better solution for suspending my iPad off the desk. It's very sturdy and made from what seems like high quality material. The one drawback I noticed while mounting to the back of my 27" Thunderbolt Display was that, when mounted on the left viewing side (the screen's right) the arm that screws into the base would loosen at the base since the pressure from holding the iPad's weight was enough to essentially unscrew the arm from the base. In the end, I just mounted it on the other side. Problem solved. That, and the fact that it is a little difficult to adjust since the arm has so much resistance docked it a star.

Could you simply rotate the clamp 180 degrees so that the screw wouldn't loosen on the left side?

The only way to solve the issue was as stated. Turning the clamp 180 degrees (while still attached to the computer) will not fix the issue as the resistance is still pushing in the same direction.
