5.0 out of 5 stars Great Learning Skates!, July 11, 2011
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Fisher-Price Grow-with-Me 1,2,3 Roller Skates (Toy)
My daughter got these for her third birthday (my only gripe is that they, like anything else not pink, are categorized as "boys" toys) and she loves them. She was able to use them right out of the box and moved from setting 1 to setting 2 very quickly. She is looking forward to learning to skate like her big brother! She is small for her age and these fit her size 5/6 foot very well. I think she is going to get a lot of use from them in the next few years. An excellent purchase for any child, regardless of gender!

Glad to see someone else annoyed by the pressure to always buy pink things for girls. Girls like non-pink, non-pastel things, too!

My 3 year old daughter's favorite color is blue and we have bought many toys/clothes/shoes that were labelled "boys" because that's what she prefers. So ridiculous! I'm sure there are some little boys out there who like pink too.
Purchasing these skates now!

I doubt there was any deep seated gender stereotyping being done on the part of the manufacturer ;)
