I miss my braun...,
This review is from: KitchenAid KHB300WH Hand Blender, White (Kitchen)
After my third (or was it fourth?) multimix burned out, I looked for another multifunction immersion blender. Although this has basically all the same attachments, I don't find it quite as functional. As has been mentioned, the whisk spatters something awful. Part of the problem is that trying to control a single whisk at the end of this long a stick is pretty near impossible. The mini-processor doesn't seem to chop as finely or evenly as my multimix used to, although it's got decent power. The immersion blender works fine.
I find holding the 'on' button down constantly to get it to work awkward and my fingers hurt after a while. I also miss being able to set the thing down without laying it on the counter (vs the multimix, which stood up with the attachment perpendicular to the counter.) The variable speeds seem unnecessary.
Bottom line, this is a good immersion blender, the processor attachment works ok, but don't expect this to in any way replace a mixer. Could probably pay less for a straight immersion blender, and skip the attachments. 4 stars as a stick blender, but 3 overall because of the above, and the fact it's overpriced considering the attachments don't really work as expected. Yup, I'm still bitter braun didn't fix the multimix problem instead of taking it off the market!
