Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have bought 5 different brands insulated "waterproof" claim gloves, in the last month. Until this last year, I could buy, waterproof ski gloves or Schmidt waterproof insulated gloves , and if I was careful they lasted 2 seasons. I raise ducks and geese and have horses. On a daily basis I need to hose down their pens, and give water and dump some pans or small pools. Occasionally I have to break ice and pick out pieces. I do not use the gloves for "work" or anything that could wear them out, I change gloves if handling wood or working on fences.etc. None of the "waterproof" insulated gloves can pass a put my hand into a sink or pail and not leak thru the seams within 5 minutes.I actually went to a sporting goods store and bought 2 pairs , then went in bathroom and ran water over them, then returned them. I have Rayanulds syndrome and my hands go numb and painful at 55 degrees or touching cold water. I also bought Atlas fleece gloves and to see how they work..they are like rubber so may not last long, but the next option is some sort of over 50$ goretex glove...something has happened to the quality of waterproof glove "liner membranes" it seems, because a couple years ago, these kind of gloves worked and lasted for 2 seasons.....
