5.0 out of 5 stars Need more Cyborg 009, June 26, 2006
This review is from: Cyborg 009 - Uncut & Unedited (DVD)
I picked up these two DVDs recently. I fell in love with the show back when it was on Toonami in the afternoons. I finally saw them for a good price and I had some extra money. The DVDs do the series justice I believe, but I'm left hanging. It is a 52 episode series to the best of my knowledge, but only 8 episodes have been released on DVD? I also believe that there are several movies made, but no sign of them coming to R1 anytime in the near future either. This is a such an amazing series, but stopping it at 8 episodes seems a little cruel.

keep the faith,

Usually amazon is good at getting out of date DVD's but you should know that in Australia we have 25 episodes on sale. I bought this series at ezydvd.com.au and was looking for the rest of the series.

Thanks for the heads up Theresa Fenner (although I am late getting to this series, this review and your comment. I just picked up this 8 episode, 2 disc volume 1 for a dollar at my local Dollar Store). I went to the ezydvd.com.au site, and I could not find this series there at all, let alone the 25 episodes you are talking about. Is it under a different name?

I will look again, but at least using the search function, only the Jean Claud Van Damme movie CYBORG and one other film, CYBORG 3, came up. Anyway, thank you dextrosian for the review. I look forward to watching these episodes. Although I grew up in the 60's with ASTRO BOY, EIGHT MAN, GIGANTOR and KIMBA, I don't remember this one. Good to read in many reviews that this re-make honors the spirit of the original.
