I'm so glad you had a great experience but mine won't even start. I push down the side panel like it says, release, the screen flashes for a second and then that's it. I can't do anything else with it. I've emailed customer service but I already know what they're going to say...sorry for the inconvenience but you have a defective one. Well I don't have time to be inconvenienced I had plans to use it this weekend. This was my first camcorder and I thought it might be good starter one but for the price I paid I guess I shouldn't be surprised it doesn't work...I think I'll just be happy with my digital camera until I can afford to purchase from a more reliable company.

That's too bad :(. Having a defective product can happen with any provider. Considering how many have been sold (and how many Oprah just gave away) I don't think it has been reported as a common occurrence.
