Fun, Engaging Info About Interpersonal Communications,
This review is from: The Secrets of Successful Communication: A Simple Guide to Effective Encounters in Business (Big Brain vs. Little Brain Communication) (Paperback)
I enjoyed reading this book. It's a fun, fast read for anyone interested in personal branding and making every conversation an effective one--even digital conversations, which as we all know by now can reverberate, amplify and haunt us forever. Mr. McCarney's book is a sensible, experience-based guide to never putting your foot in your mouth ever again. I have found myself remembering some of its teachings when I'm faced with conflict situations. It's good to have a reminder that people sometimes screw up and say the wrong things for manifold reasons that may have nothing to do with the situation at hand. Reading a book like this can help you not only refrain from mistakes, but also rebound from attacks from others, in a classy, calm and relatively stress-free manner. A must for anyone interested in conflict management, either in relationships or in the workplace.
