This review is from: LG AG-S100 3D Active Shutter Glasses for 2010 LG 3D HDTVs (Electronics)
I've had four pairs of these glasses since Nov. 2010, bought to go with our LG 3D TV.
When we first received them, I was so terrified something would happen to them that I'd insist on them being put back in their original boxes as soon as they were no longer being used. Since then, these glasses have dealt with the potential abuse of my parents (who initially tried bending and flexing them as though to see how they work), friends' children (bouncing them around and trying to chew on them), our three cats (bounding on them and batting at them), and my husband and I (accidentally setting down book, remotes, the most frequent PS3 controller, and occasionally a laptop, on top of them), and yet, seven months later, they still look and work just as great as the day we got them.
They aren't, unfortunately, the most comfortable things in the wolrd to wear, but I wasn't expecting them to be. Any glasses are uncomfortable if you aren't use to wearing them, and even though these shutter glasses aren't especially bulky, they're still heavier than my normal prescription glasses. At first, I was concerned that I would have to put in my contacts every time I wanted to watch a 3D movie or play a game, but surprisingly, I can put them on over my prescription glasses, and they work just as well. They're heavy enough with my regular glasses on to notice that they're there, but not enough to be distracting. And with my contacts in, it's almost too easy to forget I'm wearing the shutter glasses once the movie/game starts.
They conveniently charge through the USB ports of our TV, PS3, or even computer, and every pair of glasses came with it's own charging cable. They seem to charge rather quickly, and we almost never actually need to charge them (and between movies and games, we actually use them a lot).
There was no real set up involved, our TV recognized them immediately and instantaneous allowed us to start watching the awesome 3D "magic" we'd bought them for.
Definitely a great product!
