Resolution Worth It,
This review is from: Celestron SkyMaster 20x80 Binoculars (Electronics)
If you have ever looked through a standard set of binoculars you know how disappointed you can be when you find yourself squinting at an object that seems to still be just too small in the viewer. After doing some research, I went with these binoculars and was not let down. Distant images are large and crisp. For example, at a distance of about 200ft, I am noticing about 20ft diameter of area being displayed in eyepiece. Those are approximates. I'm sure there is a formula somewhere for those serious about it. I bought them for stargazing, but they work great for terrestrial viewing (i.e. birdwatching, etc). They are a little heavy to hold. The tripod mount is definately a necessity. It fits on any normal camera tripod, but you'll want something more sturdy if you plan to use these frequently. My poor camera tripod looks like its going to snap with these things on it. Celestron makes a heavy duty tripod too. Thats my next purchase.
