Worked for my Overhead Door Python 2,
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This remote worked for my Overhead Door Python 2 opener. It took some figuring out, because the instructions did not cover my situation. During programming, my garage door opener's light did not blink, it did not click, and the door did not open. So I had cycled through all 20 codes multiple times, and I was getting ready to give up and return this. But then I decided to try locking it in after 6 code presses (the number specified for my manufacturer) and hitting Open anyway, just to see if it would open the door, despite the lack of the aforementioned indications of success. Bingo, it opened. Good enough. They should add that to the instruction manual - one star deducted for mediocre process documentation. If I could take off a half star instead, I probably would. It was a one-time inconvenience/time-waste, but worth mentioning.
Regarding range: I do not find that its range is any less than my original remote transmitter. I have to have line of sight to the garage, and be within, I'd say, 50 feet, for it to work. I don't find that unreasonable. That gives me plenty of time to raise the door before I reach the garage.

YES ! Pressing the code button SIX times, for Python 2, worked great. I also did not get any indication it had accepted the learned code, but saved the program, and tried the door, and it worked !!! Don't forget to follow the instructions to complete and save the code.
