I love this album. It is a joy to listen to. It starts of with a simply awesome (it's too late sounding) take on the Sound of Music song, then a great version of Carol of the Bells (which normally I am not a fan of). These two stand out, as does her tender take on Do you hear, the soulful Every day and her daughter's New Year's Day.
The target version has bonus tracks (which I only just found out about arrr). The international version is titled (more aptly as in Silent Night, Charles Dickens etc) A Christmas Carole.
Nice ballads, some soulful numbers (like those great Goffin/King soul tracks from the 60s) and some fine pop and old school standards. A diverse yet cohesive mix that yule be sure to love and enjoy December after December. Carole's voice is in fine form accompanied by the likes of Russ Kunkel, Robbie Kondor and Dean Parks.
