First, thank you so much for buying this book I helped write.
Second, I apologize that the book did not meet your expectations.
I do, however, take exception to calling the description "deceptive." The book is clearly marked as a paperback, being 62 pages, that the product dimensions are 8.4 x 8 x 0.3 inches and that the shipping weight is 4.2 ounces. This is not fine print information, but all listed clearly and directly on the product details, the description and some of it right next to the title. Along with the preview view that Amazon users have, you should have gotten an idea about the layout and contents of the book. If you were expecting something larger or different than what was detailed very clearly on the main product information page, I apologize. I do not, however, feel that it was deceptive at all.
Also, I would have to say that there is only one connection as a parody is not accurate at all. The cover is a parody. ALL of the chapter titles are a parody. There is a short story at the beginning that clearly parodies the series. All fifty recipes in this book are each a parody of the series.... as it is fifty recipes of bacon. This is a parody of a popular series, but it is also a functional bacon cookbook that a person could keep on the bookshelf out in public or in your kitchen. It is supposed to be a fun little cookbook with a twist and I feel I met that goal, at least for me. The cover is fun, the story inside is fun and I feel the recipes are good.
Once again, I apologize if you did not get what you expected.
