5.0 out of 5 stars I Luv This Camera !!, November 20, 2012
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: TaoTronics Car License Plate Frame Rear View Backup Camera, (170 Degree Wide Angle / Night Vision / Waterproof Metal Casing / Black) TT-CC17 (Electronics)
It mounts easily in place of my old license plate frame and friends are amazed when I point out thats its a camera.

It's been thru a couple of heavy downpours and still works fine.

The supplied wiring was more than long enough to make it to the front of my Chevy Colorado Crew Cab.

The image is stable even when I'm driving( I wired mine to stay on all of the time unless I turn it off with the monitor switch)
It delivers a nice color image to the monitor in daylight and a black and white image in dim light. It was more work to istall a hard wired camera than a wireless one but I think the image is better with a hard wired camera. Since I have a shell and carpet on my truck bed I simply ran the wire along the truck bed and up to thru the sliding window. I then put duct tape on top for the entire length to protect it. I then ran it behind and under the rear seat to about 5 inches before you could see it from above, cut a hole in the carpet and used a fish tape to run it under the carpet to the front.

No drilling required and a nice looking install.

"No drilling required and a nice looking install."

That's because you duct taped the wire and ran it through your back window.
